By dissembling all the parts of a pre-existing camping light, I came to the conclusion that the charging systems were deeply flawed. The camping light had a small solar panel that charged the light at inefficient rates of one hour for ten minutes of light. The hand-crank charging system requires a single crank revolution for three minutes of use. the most logical solution was to remove the useless solar panel and enhance the hand-cranking mechanism.
